Nearly seventy years later, the coffee table has been called in by Herman Miller to be reproduced. One might say that it is a timeless piece.
The table itself has a wire base, is made of turned wood and powder coated steel.

“We looked at archival photos and blueprints that were originally used by the Eameses to ensure we stayed as true as possible to the original aesthetic,” says Herman Miller product manager Christina Strobl. “To the untrained eye, it’s nearly exact.”
Jennie Maneri, who is a creative director at Herman Miller suggests that it is practically impossible to make an identical replication.
“There are always variations, even with the Eameses,” she says. “They were always experimenting with different technologies to subtly change a design’s features.”
