‘Tis the season of aches and pains …… Time to get your posture right!

At the end of your working day do you stretch and find that your back, neck or shoulders are aching and causing you discomfort? If so, take a look at the chair you use throughout the day, and if you have no underlying medical condition, then your chair could be the culprit.

Conventional chairs may be one of the reasons why a person can have an incorrect posture while sitting at his/her desk. An incorrect posture can lead to aches and pains in your back, shoulders etc. Modern office chairs, by contrast, are ergonomically designed to alleviate these problems. An ergonomic chair has all the essential features such as head rest and back rest that strengthen and support your posture while you sit. Coupled with this you can adjust the height of your chair to make sure your feet are flat on the floor, your knees at an angle of 90 degrees to the floor and parallel to the hips. These simple adjustments automatically help you to improve your posture and you will feel the benefits.
